The Buffalo Bills have kicked off the 2025 season with a thrilling 4–1 start, showcasing resilience, star power, and a few growing pains along the way. Game 2: Jets vs Bills (10-30)
Buffalo seized charge as they travelled to New York to play the Jets in Week 2. The Jets’ offence was mostly contained by the defence, and the run game took off behind James Cook. Allen was briefly sidelined by a big hit in that game, causing him to walk off with a broken nose; backup Mitch Trubisky came on, but Allen came back after being assessed. These games may be extremely close, as the scare demonstrated, but the Bills persevered to win handily.

Game 3: Dolphins vs Bills (21-31)

Game 4: Saints vs Bills (19-31)

Game 5: Patriots vs Bills (20-23)
When Buffalo faced New England in Week 5, that test came, and it didn’t go well. Eleven penalties for 90 yards, costly errors (two fumbles, an interception), and poor execution during crucial situations were all results of a disorganized, careless performance. With 10 catches for 146 yards, Stefon Diggs, who was playing in Buffalo for the first time since being moved, scorched his former team, describing the effort as “100 percent personal.” Even with 108 receiving yards, Dalton Kincaid had an incredible day. Although he returned to the game after suffering a hand injury, centre Connor McGovern and linebacker Matt Milano are now considered week-to-week due to a re-aggravated pectoral ailment. Due to knee and ankle issues, Ed Oliver and T.J. Sanders were not present. In retrospect, McDermott acknowledged, “We just played sloppy.”
